Sir Melvin L. Pace
Right Eminent Grand Commander

            Sir Melvin Pace is a native of Jackson, Mississippi.  He was educated in the Jackson Public School system and graduated from St. Andrews’ Episcopal High School.  He attended Jackson State University where he received a B.S. in Business Finance and an M.B.A. (Business Management).  He attended the Mississippi Baptist Seminary where he earned a Masters of Theological Study.  He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law and is engaged in the practice of law in Jackson, Mississippi.

            He has served his community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Capitol City Boys and Girls Club, a member of the Board of Directors for the Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center and a member of the Board of Directors of the Falconhill Recovery House.  He is a reading tutor with the Barksdale Reading Institute through the Jackson Public School District and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.  He is the President and CEO of The Pace Law Firm, Inc.; Gallion-Dugar Farms and the Black Rhino Construction Group, LLC.

            He is a member of Sollie B. Norwood Lodge, #699 where he is presently the Senior Warden.  He is a member of the Jackson Consistory, #117, member of the United Supreme Council of Grand Inspector Generals; Rissah Temple #130, St. John Commandery, No. 3 where he is serving as Eminent Commander, Andrew Stewart Council #11 Royal and Select Masons, Phillips Chapter 46-A, Holy Royal Arch Masons.

            He is the Grand Attorney for the M.W. Stringer Grand Lodge, the Grand Captain of the Host for the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the Holy Royal Arch Masons and the Right Eminent Grand Warder and legal counsel to the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar, U.S.A., PHA.

            He is a member of Anderson United Methodist Church and married to the former Katina W. Baugh.  He is the father of three daughters, Cesley, Kristen and Kyndal.

Sir Fredrick Wilson

           Sir Fredrick Wilson is a native of Greenville, MS. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Science at Mississippi Valley State University and later received his M.S. degree in Computer Science at Jackson State University.  He  moved to Jackson, Mississippi and began his career with the City of Jackson. He has been employed 15 years with the City of Jackson and his current position is Systems Manager for the Information Systems Division. He is the President of Wilson Technology, Inc. Deputy Wilson is a member of the Usher board and Male choir at Cade Chapel M.B.  Church, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, National Turtle Club, Inc., Andrew Stewart Council #1 Royal and Select Masons, Jackson Consistory #117, and the United Supreme Council of Grand Inspectors General of the 33rd degree. Also, he has been installed as Honorary Past High Priest by Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Mississippi and Honorary Past Eminent Commander by T.C. Almore Grand Commandery of Knights Temple of the State of Mississippi. He has been elected as Worshipful Master of J. I. Martin Lodge #701, Assistant Recorder for Rissah Temple #130, Captain of the Host of Phillips 46A Holy Royal Arch Chapter, Grand Parliamentarian of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Holy Royal Arch Masons of Mississippi, Generalissimo of St. John Commandery #3, Illustrious Thrice Master of the Andrew Stewart Council #11, and Deputy Right Eminent Grand Commander of T.C. Almore Grand Commandery of Knights Temple of the State of Mississippi.

           He and his wife, Sandra are parents of one son, Fredrick, Jr., and two daughters, Niyah and Miyah.

Sir Dion F. Porter

           Sir Dion F. Porter is a native of Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Porter is a graduate of Jackson State University (B.S. Criminology; Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling) and a Doctorate from Southern Illinois University (Rehabilitation Counseling).  Dr. Dion F. Porter is an Assistant Professor within the Department of School, Community and Rehabilitation Counseling at Jackson State University.

           Dr. Porter is an expert in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling and serves as a vocational expert for the Office of Hearings and Appeals for the Social Security Administration in Jackson, Mississippi.  He is a licensed social worker, and a certified rehabilitation counselor.  He is a member of 100 Black Men of Jackson and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

           He currently serves as Senior Warden for West Jackson Lodge #697, Principal Sojourner for Phillips 46-A, Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Senior Warden of St. John Commandary #3, Sentinel for Jackson Consistory # 117, member of the United Supreme Council of Grand Inspector Generals; and a current High Noble of the Mystic Shrine of Rissah Temple #130. He is also a member of the Andrew Stewart Council #1 of Royal and Select Masons. He is also An Honorary Past Eminent Commander

Sir Gregory L. Anderson

           Sir Gregory L. Anderson is a native of Tunica, Mississippi. He was educated in both the Mound Bayou Public School System and the Chicago Public School System. He graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Mound Bayou. He attended Jackson State University where he received a B.S. in Accounting with a strong concentration in Computer Science. He has gone on to enhance his technology skills by obtaining certifications with Microsoft (MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional), Cisco (CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate), CompTIA's A+ (Certified Computer Technology Specialist), Server+, Web Development, Network Security, and Coldfusion.

           He is a certified Master Black Belt instructor in the art of Taekwon-Do (Oh Do Kwan). He is Deputy Region for the board for the Southern Martial Arts Conference where he has served for more than three years. He is the Chief Instructor for Twin Dragon Taekwon-Do and Self Defense. He has a close relationship with the City of Jackson. In cooperation with the division of Parks and Recreation, Sir Gregory Anderson provides martial arts instructions to the Jackson community.

           He has been employed with Jackson State University Department of Information Management for the past eight years where he serves as Academic Information Technology Coordinator. He also provides computer support for residential and commercial customers as an Independent Computer Consultant.

               Sir Herman Holly, the only child of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Holly, is a native of Clinton, Mississippi and is a graduate of Clinton High School, graduating at the age of 16.  He attended Hinds Community College, Tougaloo College, Jackson State University, Mississippi College, The University of Mississippi and American Intercontinental University. He holds undergraduate degrees in Anthropology, Political Science and Sociology.  He holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Personnel Administration. 

               He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Past President and Charter member of the Clinton Branch of the NAACP, He is a member of Holy Ghost Baptist Church where he has served as pianist for the Sunday School, Secretary for the Church, Secretary of the Sunday School, Associate Superintendent of the Sunday School, and as a Sunday School teacher for the Intermediate Class and as a member of the choir.  He has served as a member of the Hinds County Democratic Executive Committee.  He holds memberships in the American Anthropological Association, American Political Science Association.  He is also a member of the American Society for Public Administration.  His biography has twice appeared in the U.S. Jaycees Outstanding Young Men of America.  He is a charter member of Jeanie Ivory Martin Lodge # 701 where he has served as Junior Deacon and presently as secretary.  He is a member of the Jackson Consistory # 117 where he serves as an instructor.  He is a member of Phillips Chapter # 46-A of the Holy Royal Arch where he serves as recorder. He is a member of the C. P. Randolph Council Number 9 of the Royal and Select Masters, Prince Hall Affiliation of Crestview, Florida.  He is a member of St. Johns Commandery # 3 where he serves as Prelate.  He is a member of the T.C. Almore Grand Commandery where he serves as Very Eminent Grand Prelate.  He is a member of Rissah Temple # 130.  He presently serves as Treasurer of the Prince Hall Shriners for the State of Mississippi. He has served on the Editorial Board of the General Motors Training and Development News.

               He has served as an educator, and as a Training and Development Facilitator.  For the past thirty years he has been employed at Delphi Packard Electric Corporation where he has worked in a number of areas as an organizer, as an auditor, trainer, as the founding editor of the Reflector News, the official organ of the International Union of Electrical, Technical and Salaried Machine Workers of America.  He also served as the Author of the “Mississippian’s Plan to Compete in a Global Marketplace.”  He presently serves as Supervisor of Manufacturing Operations for Midnight shift at Delphi Packard Electric Systems, Clinton, Mississippi.

    Sir Curnis Upkins, Jr.

               Sir Curnis Upkins is a native of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi.  He is employed by Mississippi Hospital Association as Vice President for Workforce Solutions and Director of Unemployment Insurance Programs.  He has worked with MHA for approximately 9 years.  Prior to joining MHA, he was employed by the Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES) for 18 years. His last ten years with this agency were served as an Unemployment Insurance Administrative Appeals Officer. 

                He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Jackson State University.  His leadership education includes completing the Mississippi Economic Council’s Leadership Mississippi Program, the State Personnel Board’s Leadership and Supervisory Training Program, and the Mississippi Judiciary College Administrative Law Program.  He has conducted staff development leadership training programs for hospitals, community service organizations, professional associations, and for the Mississippi National Guard.  He has more than 16 years experience in leadership training and conflict resolution.

                He recently completed a project sponsored by the MHA Center for Rural Health that provided monthly leadership training to the top leadership and line leadership of several small rural hospitals.  He served as a trainer for the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery V.A. Medical Center’s Professional Development (“ProD”) training course for new managers.

                He has served as school-to-work coordinator for the Capital Area Human Resources Association, President/legislative & community service chairman for MS Chapter of the Black Human Resource Network.  He also holds memberships in the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), Mississippi Hospital Association Human Resource Society, Allied Hospital Association Unemployment Compensation Group and UWC Strategic Services on Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation.

                His community service activities include co-chairman of the Master’s Men Ministry at Pearl Street AME Church, Jim Hill PTSA, Habitat for Humanity volunteer, board member/senior advisor for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY) and board member for Jackson Public School Education Trust Fund.   His proudest awards include being selected Jackson Public School District Parent of the Year for the 1999-2000 school year and receiving the MHA Society’s Distinguished Service Award in 2004.

                He joined Sollie B. Norwood, Lodge # 699 in July, 1991.  There, he has served as Junior Deacon, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden and is currently serving as Worshipful Master.  He serves on the business advisory board to the M.W. Stringer Grand Lodge.  He is a member of Jackson Consistory #117, member of the United Supreme Council of Grand Inspector Generals; Rissah Temple # 130, Phillips Chapter # 46-A Holy Royal Arch Masons, Andrew Stewart Council #1, Royal and Select Masons and St. John Commandery, No. 3.

                He and his wife Melodie have been married for 24 years and are members of Pearl Street AME Church in Jackson, Mississippi.  They have a daughter and two sons; Shana, Curnis III and Keeyon.

    Sir William H. Lofton

               Sir William “Bill” Lofton is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi.  His is a graduate of Coahoma A.H.S, Coahoma Junior College, and Jackson State University.  After graduation from Jackson State University, he began his career in finance and banking with GMAC Financial Services.  In 1997 he began an extensive training program with Trustmark National Bank where upon graduation in 1999 he was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager/Officer.  He served in this capacity at several locations and was promoted to Branch Manager.  Today, Mr. Lofton is an Assistant Vice President and maintains his offices at the Battlefield Branch in Jackson, Mississippi.

                 His serves the Greater Jackson community as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, 100 Black Men of Jackson, the Stew Pot Community Services, Matt’s House Women’s Shelter and the United Way Campaign.

    Sir Demario Green

                Demario M. Green is a native of Renova, Mississippi, a small town located on the outskirts of Cleveland, Mississippi in Bolivar County in the Mississippi Delta.  He was educated in the Cleveland School District and graduated from Cleveland High School.  He received his college education at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS where he studied Radio, Television, & Film with a minor in Political Science.

               He has served in many positions throughout his life, from Sunday School teacher to High School Class President to Peer Counselor.  He currently works as Resident Firefighter with Northeast Lamar Fire Rescue & EMS Service in Lamar County, Mississippi and as a beginning Realtor with Century 21 Cornerstone Realty Group of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is also President and CEO of Green & Associates, LLC.
